Look at those smiling freckles

I took on a challenge to take a picture of a total stranger. :/ EEK! I kept putting this one off until the very end. We went to the zoo with some friends on Saturday so I decided to get my picture there. I took several pictures of different people. There was a little girl there who had chocolate cupcake all over her face. I got her parents permission to take her photo, but she didn't like the camera. I had about given up when her little brother showed up and wanted his picture taken too. He was so sweet and asked so nicely that I had to consent.  That red hair and those adorable freckles where too cute to resist. Don't you agree?

Music

Here is another challenge I decided to take part in.  It was to take a photo of something that describes you. It had to be black and white and could not include any people. Nothing describes me more that music. So I knew that I wanted to take a picture of our piano. At first I wanted to put a rose on the keys, but I don't have any roses. I decided instead to try to do an overlay. I took a picture of the piano keys and then took a picture of some sheet music. A little time and editing and walla... The picture is done. Self Potrait

I decided to start taking on a few challenges with my photography.  This challenge was to take a self portrait. This was challenging for me for three reasons.

One: I do not think that it is easy to take a flattering picture of myself.
Two: The longer I have been a photographer the less I like getting my picture taken.
Three: I found out about this one hour before the deadline.

I rushed outside to get my camera set up on my tripod set up, and being so out of it, I forgot to put my shoes on. I took one step off the porch and RAN back in to get shoes. After I knew what I wanted to do I got my camera set up on a coffee table and started taking pictures. Over all I am pleased with the outcome.
